In Hapjeong and Hongdae, there's a particular alley that my friends and I always gravitate towards. It's an alley that never disappoints, always offering something new and delicious. And right at the heart of it all is Sunbee Dining (선비다이닝). Today, I'm here for a delightful fusion meal, with no upfront cost, just pure culinary enjoyment.

The Vibe: Cozy, Personalized, and Always Buzzing

Even on a Sunday, Sunbee Dining was bustling with people. It's a popular spot, especially for groups celebrating birthdays or simply enjoying a night out. The interior is cute and well-decorated, with a personalized mood that makes you feel right at home. It's a place where you can truly relax and enjoy the company of your friends.

The Menu: Innovative Korean Fusion

Sunbee Dining is famous for its fried suyuk (boiled pork slices). I was particularly curious about how they would fry such delicate meat. They also offer a variety of other Korean fusion dishes that stay true to the basics while offering innovative twists.

We ordered the fried pork belly soup and pork belly kalbi beam noodles. The pork belly kalbi beam noodles were so delicious that we ended up ordering another one! The whole pork belly fried soup has a bouncy texture, and the kimchi was a particular surprise – incredibly flavorful.

When wrapped with ripe kimchi, pork belly, and lettuce, you'll find that the soup you ate while kimchi-ing is a bit forgotten. The crispy texture of the tempura is also unique and delightful. The Woo Samgyeop Kalbi Beef Noodles will make you want to pick up your chopsticks – it's a flavor I want to eat every morning!

And of course, draft beer! It's the perfect accompaniment to these delicious dishes. There's a reason this place is so crowded – the food is simply amazing. We even ordered another side of pork belly kalbibim noodles because we couldn't resist.
